Ski music is a no-frills music player that plays random tracks from your iPhone library while youre skiing and goes silent when you stop to pause to talk with friends.
So the app allows you to keep your earbuds in when you stop to pause while skiing with friends and you want to talk to them. Gone with the hassle of removing your gloves to manipulate the screen or the tiny buttons to turn the music off and back on again when you resume your downhill coarse.
Besides the standard player interface (start/stop, skip forward/backward and scrub within the song) you get a graph showing the last seconds of recorded acceleration. Besides fun to watch, you use it to check your personal settings for the acceleration sensing behavior.
Even if the app was developed with skiing in mind, were sure you can think of other fun applications for it. To facilitate this, the invert function was added to make the app play music as long as the phone is NOT moving.
Note that the app stays active in the background and draws battery power even if not playing. A rough estimate is about 5% per hour on an iPhone 4s running iOS7.1
Bluetooth headsets are not (yet) supported.
